There seems to be talks about a new HTC phone in the works, tentatively named HTC Mazaa that is to run the Windows 7 OS.

Details are mum but from the leaked images, it seems to be an HTC phone without the unibody. But it seems to be the same size as the HTC Desire. From the XDA developers comes this post:

Having said that, our source mentioned that it may be loaded with DDR2, but wasn’t sure and that it is coming to Sprint within the next 6 months. Also, one last interesting detail is that there seems to be an IMEI number on the device itself, which means GSM capabilities. So, we could very well be looking at the first Windows Phone 7 world phone. There was no mention on whether this device will include gyroscope capabilities or not, but one can only hope.

Perhaps this phone will come with the Mango updates that’s supposed to arrive late in the year and LG may also be prepping for a new Windows Phone release. The speed for this Mazaa phone is supposed to be fast, with top-of-the-line specs and graphics.

Ooh, more Windows phones. I can’t wait to see these new phones!
