Skype has acknowledged a serious flaw in their system that could potentially leak private data of all their users to hackers. Though the app itself hasn’t been giving the data up, the design of the app leaves a database file unencrypted, leaving things like your username and password, email address, address and phone number exposed to hackers.

If a certain user has a malicious app on their Android, this could mean that that application could be taking all the user’s information and sending it to a shady individual. To this, Skype has stated that it is “working to protect you from this vulnerability.”
