HTC had a strong Q1, shattering their profits from this time last year by nearly threefold. With this achievement, HTC has now surpassed rival Nokia and is now the world’s third largest phone manufacturer in terms of market value.
How much did they make? A whopping $3.6 billion in revenue. The public has been a great force behind this huge jump in profits and with the HTC Flyer tablet coming out soon, don’t expect the company to stop - they will keep going on strong.
This, of course, means more pressure on Nokia to come out with something spectacular in the form of Microsoft Windows mobile that is in the works. It is urgent for Nokia that the Windows mobile phone comes out soon, but amazing enough to grab people’s attentions.
Who will win this battle? Nokia or HTC? Post your thoughts below! (I actually think HTC.)
