Hey Facebook fans, here is some exciting news for you! The FCC recently gave phone developer company INQ the green light to proceed with its Cloud Touch Facebook Phone.

This new phone will probably be carried by the AT&T line as it seems AT&T is the only network to support its band. No price for this device has been mentioned yet, but analysts are looking for the phone to be about $500 (pricey!) without a plan or $30 with a 2-year plan with AT&T. And it seems like the phone will be making its grand debut in either late summer or early fall.

Specs include a Qualcomm MSM7227 800MHz processor, 3.5” touch screen, 512MB of internal storage, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. However, it will run on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS system, which is a bummer if you want to use apps on this phone. But since the main functionality of the phone is to have Facebook apps, I guess that’s ok. The phone also has a 5MP camera that, when used to take photos and videos, will automatically upload onto Facebook. And last but not least, it will have a full QWERTY keyboard, perfect for those who can’t use touchscreens well.

Hmm, a Facebook phone, you say? Not sure if I’m overly excited as some. Plus, it’s pricey if you don’t have a plan with AT&T and let’s face it, even with a plan, you could get a much better phone with a lot cooler apps on it. But whatever floats your boat, or so they say.
