Those who are tablet-hungry in Japan will not starve much longer. This is because in a short period of time they will be receiving the new LG Optimus Pad. Now you may be wondering how long this “short period of time” may be. Well, according to NTT DoCoMo the tablet is set to launch on March 31st (Thursday). Unfortunately, due to the difficulties set from the natural disasters in Japan, there are some problems with shipping. Therefore, some stores will not be so lucky to receive this product on that exact date.
In case you’ve forgotten all about this tablet: the LG Optimus Pad tablet sports a screen at 8.9 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 768 and it is powered by Android Honeycomb (3.0). As for the always-needed camera details, its rear camera is at 5 mega-pixels and the FFC at 1.2. There’s been no official statement hinting a release with T-Mobile USA, but look out for that!
A delay for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play has been confirmed by UK carrier O2 after some bugs were found in the software. They announced the delay after having “found some bugs in the software that, if they’re not fixed, means customers won’t have a great experience.” According to the head of O2’s testing team, Stuart Hibberd, by the time Sony Ericsson has tweaked the firmware, the gaming smartphone will have already missed the previous April 1 launch date.
