
HTC will always be known as a developer-friendly manufacturer that allows to bring different kinds of custom ROMS to their phone. However, some companies such as Samsung Motorola have always locked their handsets in terms of security. So the HTC decide to “insure” some of its Android smartphones too. Therefore, Android powered devices will be prevented from being tampered with.
Signature checks will now be added to HTC’s Android-based smartphones, beginning with the HTC Thunderbolt. This decisions comes at quite an ironic moment in time. But whatever happens, it’s certain not to last long.
