More markets are being introduced to Verizon 4G for expanding. On March 22nd, Verizon Wireless announced that it will build on the 39 4G LTE metro areas previously launched last year.
Several hundred US cities are expected to be blanketed by the end of next year. One third of US citizens are reached out by the Verizon 4G network. However, Verizon are planning to have its LTE network supporting most of the 300 million plus residents this year.
At the moment, the HTC Thunderbolt is the only 4G device on the Verizon network. Several other phones and tablets will be added to that list soon though. For a list of the cities to get Verizon 4G this year, head here.
