Are you interested in the Kyocera Echo from Sprint? Do you even remember when they announced it’s upcoming release a month ago at the special event with David Blaine? If you do then the next words may be worth reading. Anticipating customers should be expecting a launch for the smartphone on the 17th of April at $199 if you’re willing to sign a 2-year contract with Sprint. If you really desire this phone then you can make sure to save one for yourself on March 26th but you’ll have to wait miserable 2 weeks.

I’m not too sure if anyone will be cutting lines to reserve one of these smartphones because it’s not the best out in the market currently despite it’s dual screen. You can see my point from the specifications of the phone according to The Android Site:

Two high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen displays
Sprint’s nationwide 3G network and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g)
Wi-Fi hotspot capability, which supports wireless connections for up to five devices
5-megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and digital zoom
720p HD camcorder to quickly capture those on-the-go memorable moments
Corporate (Exchange ActiveSync®) and personal (POP & IMAP) e-mail, IM (Google Talk™), text messaging
Media player with a 3.5 mm stereo headset jack
Stereo Bluetooth® 2.1 (+ EDR)
Full HTML Web browser with Google Search™
1GHz Snapdragon processor (QSD 8650 Android)
1 gigabyte (GB) of onboard memory and an 8GB microSD™ card for the external memory card slot supporting cards up to 32GB
Voice and text prompts in both English and Spanish

I think it’s a nice phone overall but I’m anticipating a smartphone that will blast all the others to oblivion- okay maybe not that dramatically.
