Thanks to “a pair of highly trusted and proven sources” it is know that Sony may be looking to make their S2 dual-screen clamshell tablet tablet this year, after releasing a gaming tablet named S1.

The Sony S2 is apparently going to come with dual screens, Android Honeycomb, a Tegra 2 processor, Wi-Fi, 3G, rear and front facing cameras as well as features from Qrocity. The S1 is supposed to be PlayStation certified, but it is unclear whether its sibling will be so or not. However, Sony do reckon it’ll be an “electronic book with enhanced features.” Some nice specifications, but what’s going on with the design? The cylinder-like shape doesn’t look too mobile friendly or comfortable for that matter.

Sony’s tablet is supposed to be rolled out in US, European and Japanese markets for $699 come next holiday season.
