LG have collaborated with the Keith Haring Foundation to create back covers for the LG Optimus Black which weighs in at 109 grams and measures 6mm at the thinnest point, making it the world’s slimmest as well as lightest Android model. Keith Haring is a famous American pop artist.

President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company Dr. Jong-seok Park stated, “Keith Haring inspired the art world with his energetic, colorful images which are recognized by millions of people around the world. We hope to capture some of that ‘joie de vivre’ through this partnership as it’s perfectly consistent with our ‘Life’s Good’ philosophy.”

It’s not the first time the pair are working together. Back in 2008, they also worked together to liven up the LG KF600 and LG KF700. This time, two of Keith Haring’s works have been selected to be showcased on the backs of LG Optimus Black models. Anybody viewing the Mobile World Congress 2011 can preview the eith Haring LG Optimus Black from February 14 to 17.

The LG Optimus Black is set to be available next month in black, white and other colours.
