According to Amsterdam-based SamFirmwares, the Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Galaxy Tab will both get Android 2.3 Gingerbread at the end of this quarter or in the early days of quarter 2 of this year.

This news was announced on SamFirmwares’ Twitter, and has not yet been confirmed. So don’t raise your hopes, but at the same time, keep your ears open for a formal announcement if it ever does come.
