Adding a new phone to their smartphone line-up, Alltel recently announced that the LG Axis is available for $89.99 after a $50 rebate and a two-year contract. The phone runs on Android 2.1 and has a 3.2 MP camera. A major feature about this phone is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, so those who can’t stand texting using a touch screen will be very happy with this phone.

It’s a decent phone, but there are better Android phones nowadays like the HTC Evo 4G, the Samsung Galaxy S, and the Motorola Droid.
