Two new Onkyo Android-powered tablets featuring Nvidia’s 1 GHz Tegra 2450 processor will be on the way soon, an announcement that comes before January’s CES. Best to get in there before the others, eh Onkyo?

The TA117C3 and TA117C1 both boast 10.1-inch widescreen touch displays (1024 by 600-pixel), 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR wireless networking, a microSD expansion slot, a front-facing 1.3 megapixel webcam, USB 2.0 connectivity, microSD removable storage and HDMI output. That’s all the usual stuff, but what’s really exciting is the Nvidia’s 1 GHz Tegra 2450 processor that will come with the devices which should give the tablets a head start in the competition.

The two distinctions that can be made between these Onkyo tablets is that the TA11C1 offers 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of flash storage, whereas the TA11C3 offers double that-1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash storage.

No pricing or release details have been put forward at this moment in time.
