Android Honeycomb’s interface was set for a great change, and some of it has been revealed through this leak of the system’s media player. It’s still unfinished, but this leak shows a cleaner interface along with an album picker that’s more visual than previous versions. Google seem to want to place more onscreen, as evident by their menu button just like the one from the Motorola tablet demo.
Remember that this is just one app, which does not talk about the rest of the whole interface. It does seem that Google will roll out Honeycomb to all its devices and not just tablets and it is also known that Android want to make the visual aspects more like the iOS, as well as decreasing the need for custom interfaces. Navigation buttons on tablets will be transferred to the main screen so that hardware buttons are no longer necessary.
Honeycomb will either be named 2.4 or 3.0 and will be shown at CES next week.
