PlayStation Apps for iPhone and Android are currently being developed in the hope of a release during early 2011 time. Sony say that UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands will be the first to receive the apps.

These PlayStation Apps will enable users to keep track of their PlayStation Network trophies, how friends are doing on their games and online statuses. As well as this, gaming announcement/news will be delivered via the apps and details about different systems can be shared over Facebook, Twitter and e-mail. Looks like the only thing you can’t do is play a game on the app.

For iPhone and iPod Touch users, at least iOS4 is needed and for Android, verison 1.6 is the minimum requirement.

With the PlayStation Phone making headlines all over the place, it’s not surprising that the PlayStation is making its debut in the mobile phone world.
