There was slight hesitation when it came to saying whether Android 2.3 Gingerbread will head over to the Samsung Galaxy S or not, but now it can be confirmed that it WILL receive Android’s latest version after all.

The news was confirmed by an Indian branch of Samsung on Twitter. There’s no issue associated with bringing Gingerbread to the phone, but having only received Android 2.2 Froyo not long after its launch, Galaxy S users may still be waiting a while…
