Acer’s CEO Gianfranco Lanci has recently said that he predicts victory for their tablets in two years and that it’ll even take over Apple’s lead in the market. Check out his quote:

‘While iPad has gained successful sales performance and good market response, Apple is centered around the US market with a significant leading status, but its competitive strength may not play out in emerging and other markets, this is the opportunity for Acer. Sales of iPad pushed forward very fast initially, but have slowed down in the past few weeks. […] We hope our tablet PCs can reach a global market share of 10 percent to 20 percent initially, and become the market leader in 2-3 years.’

What do you think about his prediction? Acer will release two tablets in April 2011, which is quite a long time as we know how fast technology advances. Will Acer be able to lead the tablet market, or will there be too many Android tablets in competition soon?
