The co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak, apparently said that Android, thanks to its diversity/variety would take over Apple’s iOS in terms of market share. This news made a big bang in the technology industry. However, this is now said to be a misquote sourced from Dutch newspaper “De Telegraaf”.
Wozniak claims that he was running through the voice command features on both the iOS and Android with De Telegraaf and noted at the same time that Android enabled users to say “Navigate to Joe’s Diner”. He then suggested that Apple would be able to catch up with Siri and Poly9. And that is all. He claims that he “never” and would never say anything that suggested Android rules over iOS.
The man himself also added, “Almost every app I have is better on the iPhone.” Steve Wozniak admitted that Android “based on what I’ve read” would become better overall. He also expects Android “to be a lot like Windows… I’m not trying to put Android down, but I’m not suggesting it’s better than iOS by any stretch of the imagination. But it can get greater marketshare and still be crappy.”
You can hear the claims made by Wozniak here. Is he forgiven?
