A group of three pretty big name companies, NEC, Casio and Hitachi, are teaming up to debut as new providers in the Android smartphone market as NEC Casio Mobile.
They will be setting their sights on debuting a new line of Android smartphones mainly in Japan but also areas around the world. The goal for 2012 will be to produce 6 million smartphones with sales accounting to about 60% in Japan and 40% worldwide (outside of Japan).
Pretty interesting and it’ll be fun to see what types of phones they’ll develop together.
What do you guys think of this collaboration - good idea?
