On one hand, Samsung should be celebrating at the success of their Galaxy S smartphone. On the other hand, an analyst pronounced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is not doing quite so well. In fact, doing well is far from the description the tablet should be given apparently…

Samsung are hoping to land in the tablet market with a bang, especially next year. They have set a high target figure for the amount of Samsung Galaxy Tabs to be sold by the end of this year, which I am sad to say is coming to a fast end.

However, according to this analyst, Ashok Kumar of Rodman & Renshaw, Samsung will not meet their target because Samsung has actually decreased the production of the tablet. Fact is, the sale of the tablet is being outweighed by those of smartphones and laptops. Kumar even says that production has actually halved.

Remember that this is just a specualtion from one analyst and that the Samsung Galaxy Tab has sold 6 million units in the US, which means that if they are to keep on track, there is no way that production has been halved. Samsung, speak up now.
