Not too long ago, Oracle claimed that Google committed the act of copyrighting Oracle’s Java code and inserting it directly into an Android source code. Google are denying the accusations that have been presented against them and are claiming to be innocent even if evidence of copyright infringement appears.

As well as denying Oracle’s claims, Google has said that if a code has been so clearly copied inserted into another code, the code should be able to be copied under fair usage terms. They even say that none of the accusations apply to Android or are even justified.

It seems that Google’s attempt to fight back is prolonging this case, which looks like it is not leaving anytime soon. Should Google be found guilty of the accusations, they will have to shell out quite a large sum to Oracle. Will they be able to drag themselves out of this unscathed?
