Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G is having an update being released for it soon. The smartphone will notify its owners once it is available and once installed, the Evo 4G will become a 3.30.651.3 version.

What is not yet confirmed officially by Sprint is that the update is rumoured to fix a problem when users access the apps Qik or Tango. What happens is that the Evo 4G, of its own accord, reboots if either app endeavours to access the phone’s camera.

If you’re an owner of one of the newer HTC Evo 4Gs out there (i.e. one that is on version 3.30.651.2), then expect a need to update your phone to fix the bug. If you own an older version (i.e. running on version 3.29.651.5), ignore this as you will not even be informed of the update as it is not needed.

Just another update to make life that little bit easier.
