A while ago we mentioned the LG Vortex. It has now been announced that the handset, Verizon Wireless’ answer to the LG Optimus S, will head to Verizon quite soon.

The device will be released on Android 2.2 Froyo. However, it is still being described as an entry-level phone complete with a 600 MHz processor, 3.2″ touchscreen and Bing Search.

We’re not sure how long this device will take to come out, but consider it not a very long time.
