FaceCash recently announced that it’s now also available for purchases at Subway. FaceCash is a payment platform which turns your phone into an electronic wallet, and uses a picture of your face as its identity verification. It basically works like PayPal, where you can transfer money into your account and use it to purchase things or send money to other people.

FaceCash is available as an app on iPhone / iPod Touch, Android and BlackBerry, but it also works on other web-enabled phones via FaceCash Mobile, and if you have an old phone, you can still print out your payment card and put it in your wallet. So far there are seven merchants in Palo Alto, CA, and one in Cambridge, MA, that accept FaceCash, including Subway, Indochine Restaurant, Cafe Sophia, and others.
