T-Mobile recently came up with a new marketing campaign for their HSPA + network. They called this 4G, and their action created a controversy among phone carriers.

Regarding T-Mobile’s action, AT&T said:

T-Mobile’s claims about 4G are based on the same HSPA+ technology we have deployed to 180 million people today, more than T-Mobile’s reported 140 million, and we’ll have it rolled out to 250 million people by the end of this month, substantially more than the 200 million T-Mobile says it will have by year-end.

Hmm… It sounds like someone is just jealous of T-Mobile because AT&T lacks HSPA + phones.

Sprint grabbed a spotlight by saying, “Halloween is over, it’s time for T-Mobile to stop dressing up like their favorite super hero – Sprint 4G.”

Uh oh. It’s on! Their 4G battle has begun, but the thing is none of them really has 4G. It’s not even a legit one, but they are trying to call their fast networks 4G. Well, good luck with that!
