The Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet device has already received some bad news when it was announced that there will be no 3G calling support, now even more bad news comes as it was revealed that the Skype feature has been denied.
A special version of Skype was meant to be available available on Verizon’s Android-based handsets but it seems that the special version will not be featured in the Galaxy Tab. The special version allows for the devices to make calls through a special 3G voice gateway.
There is a way to bypass this though, if you have a mobile hot spot then simply purchase the WiFi-only version of the Galaxy Tab and you can make 3G-based Skype calls as much as you want.
