On Wednesday, Taiwanese smartphone company HTC reported their third quarter’s profit, which almost doubled thanks to Android OS. It has been stated that this No. 4 smartphone maker’s unaudited net profit for July — September 2010 was $360 million, while it was $184.5 million during the same quarter one year ago.
It has surely been a good year for HTC, which has been using Google’s Android platform a lot in the past year. Furthermore, according to research firm Gartner, Android will likely become the world’s second most popular mobile OS this year, two years earlier than expected.
I think HTC and Android are a perfect match, so I’m happy about this. What do you think?
