T-Mobile recently announced that a new myTouch will come soon to the market. This smartphone will run Android 2.2 and its front-facing camera supports video calling, which works on either Wi-Fi or T-Mobile’s 3G network. You can make video calls to other myTouch owners or PC users through Yahoo! Messenger or Qik.
This device features myModes and a Genius Button for speech recognition. It has a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen with pre-installed Swype and the 5-megapixel back camera captures stills and high-definition videos, which can be viewed on an HDTV.
It has a 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor, Qualcomm’s MSM8255 CPU, an 8 GB storage card with support for up to 32 GB of memory. This myTouch also comes with some pre-installed games such as ‘Rock Band,’ ‘Asphalt 5′ and ‘Monopoly.’
Even though T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network has theoretical speed of 21 Mbps, the myTouch device itself is only capable of 14.4 Mbps. So this handset apparently won’t take full advantage of this new network.
What do you think about this myTouch so far?
