It seems as though we’ll be seeing more tablet/laptop creations and releases pretty soon. Before the first month of 2011 is over, the full release of Lenovo’s IdeaPad U1 Hybrid is expected to be out.
Starting in December, the Lenovo LePad is set to be released in China, along with a functional Android OS. (In case you didn’t know, the LePad is the 10.1-inch tablet portion of the IdeaPad U1 Hybrid.)
Then sometime in January, the “hybrid” portion will be released, which is a case that allows the LePad tablet to be docked in and transforms it into a laptop with a functional keyboard and other necessary parts. No specifics from Lenovo as to the type of processor or the OS it will have.
It sounds like a really nice product, the only flaw that I can see is that the only mention of a release has been for China - it might be a bit difficult to get my hands on one. But hopefully, we’ll be hearing of release dates for the rest of the world pretty soon too.
