Verizon Wireless launched the Motorola Droid 2 not long ago, but apparently it will be replaced with another phone. With the new Droid 2 World Edition, users will still be able to use the phone while traveling abroad, as it supports international-friendly GSM + CDMA chipsets, while the original Droid 2 only supports CDMA. Other than that both phones have probably the same features in terms of specs, they run Android 2.2 and Adobe Flash 10.1 Froyo.

I kinda feel bad for those who already have purchased the original Droid 2. They could have waited a bit more and get an international-friendly phone with the same other features.
