HTC has just announced their release for the Desire Z and Desire HD Android phones. For now, this news is more so aimed at Europe and Asia, where the phones will be available starting October. But the only peculiar thing about these two phones is that they seem to be very similar to the US versions of the Evo and the T-Mobile G2 Googlephone, just renamed into the Desire Z and HD.

On the left is the Desire Z (our G2-lookalike) which is a pretty good and average phone. It comes with a 5MP camera, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, and the convenient Qwerty slide-out keyboard that makes typing a breeze under the 3.7-inch display screen.

The Desire HD on the right (Evo twin) lives up to its name with a 8MP camera (with 720p video shooting abilities), dual LED flash, and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, laying under its 4.3-inch screen. The notable different between the HD and the Evo is that they took out the kickstand, for some strange reason.

They seem like two really solid phones, just weird that they were sort of released already. But the new Desire Z and HD will most likely debut in the US some time later. Any takers?
