When I first saw this commercial I was both shocked and disappointed with Verizon. It had appeared that they were taking upon the image of Abu Ghraib torture, and making fun of it by using someone dressed similar to that promoting the DROID X. This was a terrible scandal involving the United States years ago, and it is not to be taken lightly. But I am happy to say that Verizon has now announced that the ad was not produced by or in any way affiliated with them!

That is good to hear, but there is still one question…Who made this? Someone must be trying to bring down the name of Verizon to shambles.

The pose, the dangling wires, the cloak, the obscured face at the end. There is no doubt what this commercial is representing.

This video was filmed from the Cartoon Network channel during the time Adult Swim was on, and they certainly have some interesting commercials. It could be one of their self-made ‘jokes’ though I am not accusing nor assuming. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Just know that Verizon does not support this.
