Google recently released the free Google Shopper app for Android users and boy, does it sound good. This handy-dandy app gives product details, prices, reviews, and vendors online by scanning bar codes/cover art or using voice search.

To “scan” a bar code or cover art, simply point at it with the phone’s camera. The product information will pop up after the book/CD/DVD/game/etc. is processed. Google Shopper also saves browsing history, keeps “favorites”, and has a share button to report hot buys to your friends! The voice search / voice recognition feature seems to work better for some people than for others, but it’s still a fun feature in and of itself.

The Google Shopper app is currently only supported in the US and UK, but it’s highly recommended by most users and has over 250k downloads!
