The Samsung Galaxy S PMP (Personal Media Player) made sure it got itself a small appearance at this week’s Samsung event despite not having a personal show. The next new piece of information we have is that the device’s name will be Galaxy Player.

The media player boasts an Android and the TouchWiz 3.0 interface, front-facing and rear cameras, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and a gorgeous Super AMOLED display. In other words, this media player is the Galaxy S phone without the cellular radio attached.

Once released, this PMP will most probably start a competition with Apple’s iPod. I think that Samsung needs to give off a release date quick if they want to start playing!
