Today’s App of the Day is Shazam Encore, which is one of those apps that when you first try it, it blows your mind. Have you ever been in a situation where you heard a great song somewhere and was dying to buy or add it to your personal library back home, but unfortunately didn’t know its name? Shazam Encore’s your solution as it can actually recognize unknown music. Even humming is no match for Shazam!

Basicly what it does is, it ´listens´ to the nearest song (humming included) in your environment and then checks in the Shazam database, returning within seconds the artist, track and other interesting info. The other features include a search over loosely 8 million songs, buy indentified tracks, read reviews, look over tour dates, recommendations for similar artists and much more. Be Shazam’d!

There was some very similar feature on my old Sony Ericsson phone, but I was disappointed when it only recognized a few of the songs I made it listen to. Perhaps Shazam is...much better xD


i’ve tried this before but it only recognized a few of what i tested out, maybe i was doing something wrong though XD

Ive tried Shazam with Nokia 5530 and i was surprise that it recognized, SNSD’s Gee, and some of Lee Hyori and BoA’s songs.
