YouMail, the popular alternative to Google Voice, has recently announced in a press release that they have updated their Android App. YouMail is basically a voicemail app and goes by the slogan: “Get through your voicemail fast!” For the everyday businessman (or just a really organized person), it is now faster and boasts more functionality. What functions? Glad you asked.

The new Android app expands on the previous, much-downloaded version with features
such as:
– YouMail’s smart greetings, which automatically greet callers by name.
– Selecting and using any greeting users have recorded in the app or recorded
and uploaded online.
– Using greetings selected from the YouMail greetings community
at “greetings.youmail.com”.
– Easily switching between status greetings (”I’m on a plane”, “I’m at a
meeting”, etc).

Apparently sometime last week all YouMailusers automatically got an update on their devices. There were a couple of issues with the new program, but thankfully everything was sorted out in the end.

Don’t have this app yet? Download it here. Already have YouMail? Tell us if the update is better than the original.
