Since the Android vs. iPhone battle is still going on and neither of the two approves the other as the victor, you can expect a side to tease the other that can cause jealousy. Two days ago, Ziggytek mentioned Steve Jobs, recently announced Apple had posted another record quarter with its significant sale of 8.4 million iPhones (3 million of which are the iPhone 4). Today, Google released a Google Voice app update to Android and Blackberry users. The update promises faster calls. Prior to the update, Google Voice users would call a Google Voice server that would connect the call via a Google access number. Now, with the update, each person you call is assigned their own unique phone number. The update leaves the data network to access the Google Voice server obsolete — you no longer need a ‘middle man’ … or in this case a server, to connect to a call. More »

A lot has been written about “Antenna Gate,” some of it from raging fanboys and fangirls who are blind, and some of it from more balanced and level headed perspectives. While HTC, Nokia, RIM, and Samsung vehemently try to disassociate themselves from Apple’s highly publicized iPhone 4 antenna problems, anyone who has done even half an hour of research on the topic will learn that Apple’s claims are mostly true. From Ziggytek: Some will say that the Motorola Droid is boxy and ugly, but I find it understated and sort of handsome.
