Yesterday, the net was buzzing with the leak of T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ smartphone, which was at first believed to be the HTC Vanguard (aka G1 Blaze/Vision); however, the “Vanguard” name has disappeared from the source code on T-Mobile’s web page. Today, this image of the purported HTC MyTouch 3G HD surfaces.

The tipster who sent in the fuzzy photograph to Android Central believes that the HSPA+ phone for T-Mobile is actually the MyTouch HD. I can imagine T-Mobile releasing an HD version of the MyTouch, since the Slide is really a replacement for the G1. I dislike the misuse of “HD” for devices though. If it ain’t at least 720p, then do not call it HD, please.
