HTC and Microsoft’s relationship date back to the very early stages of Windows Mobile, so it is no surprise that the Taiwanese smartphone maker is committed to Windows Phone 7. Known for its slick and useful Sense UI (mainly for Android but also Windows Mobile 6.5), HTC will include its signature customized skin for WP7 smartphones.
ASUS, Dell, LG, and Samsung have stated their plans to produce WP7 phones, while HP has said that it will release only webOS based units. Having just signed a deal with ARM, Microsoft looks dead serious about regaining its slice of the smartphone pie.
