Barnes & Nobles’s famous e-reader, the Nook, is now available as an app for Android phones. The Nook itself has Wi-Fi and AT&T 3G wireless connectivity, but the six-inch display can now shrink down to the size of your Android handheld.

According to B&N, you can now access your eBook library on any Android smartphone and shop for over a million titles. You can also automatically sync your last page and bookmarks, customize your reading experience with different fonts and sizes, and turn pages with the flick of a finger (I’ve always found that to be amusing).

However, this app requires Android 1.6 or higher, and magazines slash newspapers are not yet available. Still, it sounds pretty cool, especially the automatic sync part. Go here to download.
