Today, Google released a Google Voice app update to Android and Blackberry users. The update promises faster calls. Prior to the update, Google Voice users would call a Google Voice server that would connect the call via a Google access number. Now, with the update, each person you call is assigned their own unique phone number. The update leaves the data network to access the Google Voice server obsolete — you no longer need a ‘middle man’ … or in this case a server, to connect to a call.
The update is now available in the Google Android app market. Head here to get updated!
