Along with Bell, which is releasing the Galaxy S in July, Rogers is making the ubiquitous Samsung super-smartphone available to Canadians.

Android Headlines writes that a Samsung employee has confirmed that Rogers is going to sell the Galaxy S sometime in September. Writer Chris is off in his summation of the Android situation in Canada though. While Telus has greater and better offerings than Rogers, Bell does not. The HTC Legend is a low-end phone encased in a premium shell. Its HVGA screen and 600MHz CPU have nothing on the Acer Liquid E and Sony Xperia X10’s Snapdragon processors and WVGA displays. From my perspective, Bell had to secure the Galaxy S before Rogers because it has no high end Android and desperately needs an exclusive, even if it is only for a few months.
