Rumor Mill: HTC Droid Incredible: FroYo in July-August

A e-mail alleged to be from HTC has some titillating details about the much discussed Droid Incredible. HTC might be prepared to release a major upgrade to the Incredible that includes Android 2.2 FroYo and a slew of fixes and other updates. The race amongst Android smartphone makers for 2.2 has begun in earnest.

BGR has a habit of paying for such information, so this could be genuine. It is a shame that the Incredible has been made in low quantities thus far because many more of Verizon’s nearly 90 million subscribers would have bought one by now if they could have found it in stock.

I wanted to pass along that the upcoming Incredible MR will also include Froyo (originally it was going to be two separate MRs).
