New shipments for the Droid X will go out by July 23rd through Verizon. Nationwide, customers lined up in droves to purchase Motorola’s new supercharged Android 2.1 smartphone.


Reviews of the Droid X are predominantly positive, but some do caution that although it is arguably the best Android handset on sale, it is not a revolutionary leap over top smartphones like the HTC Droid Incredible, Samsung Galaxy S, and other top flight models. Nevertheless, here is one Canadian who selfishly wishes that the X were for a GSM network, so that it can be imported for worldwide use.
