One of the most celebrated Android ROM authors, Cyanogen, does what was deemed impossible –put Android 2.2 FroYo on the the HTC Dream/G1 and Magic/MyTouch 3G.

There is some life left in these geriatric smartphones after all. Cyanogen’s ROM is still a work in progress, but he usually operates quickly to resolve bugs. Most users are reporting enormous speed increases on their last generation hardware thanks to FroYo’s Just-in-Time compiler. If only smartphone sellers cared as much about their customers as hackers do.

ugh this making me want to get an android so bad >_<


many function in it
but i dun like phone which is key-board like


props to Cyanogen - haha
i wonder if there’s any huge bugs with it yet [for those that have tried it]
but with that nice mention that he is quick to resolve them - pretty amazing

it looks so nice on the g1 though * ____ *
