She may or may not know much or anything about the products that she sponsors, but clearly, tennis superstar Maria Sharapova’s name and face sell commodities. Sony Ericsson gets her to unbox and play with its Xperia X10 Mini Pro Android smartphone.

Miss Sharapova seems about as thrilled with unboxing stuff as I am. Unless the packaging is something remarkably luxurious like with a high-end Swiss watch, I fail to see the allure of watching unboxing videos, which many people love. Throw in a dreamy celebrity, and the result is magic.
