XDA Developers continue to put paid programmers from manufacturers/carriers to shame. One industrious individual has skilfully ported Android 2.2 FroYo over to the HTC Evo 4G, and Sense UI is even included!


After “8 hours of non-stop work,” Avalaunchmods has gotten everything, except 4G and the rear camera, functional on the Evo 4G, complete with HTC’s Sense UI. HTC has said that all of its current phones should receive FroYo before Christmas, and the Evo 4G is definitely on the priority list.

haha it was only a matter of time - but nice to know that if anyone is impatient/already has the phone
they can mod it to use froyo ... / give it to a pro person to go through the 8-ish hours of work
but nice that in time for Christmas - they’ll come with it
