LG Optimus One, Optimus Chic: Android 2.2 FroYo Powered

For the UK, LG has announced its Optimus (”best”) line of Android smartphones. The Chic and the One are the first 2 (of 10!) entrants under the Optimus name, and both will have Android 2.2 FroYo.


Select other Optimus phones and LG’s tablet will have different versions of Android, probably Eclair. LG is releasing an updated Optimus SU950 in South Korea. Hitherto, North Americans have been excluded from LG’s strongest Android products, as Americans have their Ally and Canadians the Eve, so the chances of the “best” Optimus smartphones debuting over here are slim. We will likely get the dross.
