Samsung is solidifying its spot as the second largest cell phone maker in the world. During the Galaxy S’s first 10 days in South Korea, Samsung has sold over 200,000 units of its Super-AMOLED, Hummingbird smartphone.
Is the Galaxy S sales explosion in its native country a sign that it will be adopted with welcoming hands in North America, where just about every carrier is going to sell the phone? Plenty of consumers have few reservations about spending top dollar for premium smartphones, so I suppose that one of the most powerful handsets available - priced at the 8Gb iPhone 4 level, but sold by all of the networks around - should do swimmingly in the West.
