Brian Maupin created a masterpiece of humor and parody with his “iPhone4 vs HTC Evo” cartoon, which has received about 1.4 million YouTube views since its upload a week ago; however, the 25-year-old Kansas City Best Buy worker has been suspended by his employer.

When Best Buy corporate discovered that Maupin was the author of the video, it was displeased. He tells TechCrunch that the Big Blue has taken steps to fire him. Having been working with the company for 3 and a half years, Maupin could have grounds for a wrongful termination if the YouTube clip is the sole basis for his dismissal. Perhaps this could be Brian’s springboard onto something much bigger and better than Best Buy.
